It's a great calendar as long as you realize that when people mention it is big-well it is significantly larger than a traditional wall calendar and one thing that I don't like for a work calendar is that for every day there is a picture, so if you're trying to quickly see what you have going on that month it can blend in easy.If you are looking for a large calendar with lots of pictures of beautiful place and don't mind that the layout is busy, then this would be great.

If you love to travel, you will most likely enjoy this calendar. It's perfect for bringing to the office and looking at it for a minute or two as a quick break. The calendar is very long in length and normal in width, and each month focuses on one location, with the days of the month containing the must sees of that particular place.
I love to travel, though I've done so little of it, and this calender enticed me immediately. Spend each month experiencing a new place you've never been to and probably never even imagined visiting. I love the details placed on each day that highlight a specific part of the cultural, animals, foods, or whatever makes the place special. Even if you don't like to travel, consider this a learning opportunity.
This is a fun calendar, that has lots of information on each month. Of course, the book offers 1000 places to see, but this calendar can only offer 12 cities, with tiny pictures of places to see in that city. In order to see anything, we have to take it down to see everything. And, the calendar is so large, it doesn't fit where our wall calendars have hung each year for 34 years! That is why it is only a four star calendar--I won't buy another one.
I love travel and exotic destinations, so I get this calendar every year. As another reviewer said, in 2013 there were too many US destinations, but 2014 is better. I like having so many pictures for each month--gives you a much better idea of the featured location than a single picture would. Although the pictures do leave less room for appointments, the calendar is very large so for me it's not a problem (and my primary calendar is the one in Outlook because I can set reminders).
I'm definitely pleased with this purchase and it would be delightful to visit all of these places "before you die." -)
The description and caption lines with the photos are good, but could be better. Since there is limited space for extra text they've done a good job including the information, but there's a lot you'll want to look up later. Also, if you have difficulty seeing lighter and smaller print then this may not be a good purchase for you.

I like to keep a calendar with a bunch of small pictures in my bathroom to look at while I brush my teeth. For two years I loved the Cute Overload calendar. Was crushed to learn they didn't publish one this year. Got this as a substitute, thinking I'd see a ton of cool pictures of places I might want to visit. Maybe I didn't read the description well enough about the format, but each month is basically one area or location, with all the small pictures being somewhere or something from that main area. I find this to be boring. The paper also isn't very strong so one of the monthly pages has already torn through. I haven't fixed it yet so I'm currently seeing March still which is annoying. Haven't had that issue with other calendars I've purchased. Would not buy this calendar again.
The 2013 edition had so many months with North American places that it seemed hardly a worldly calendar. This year is much better with a better variety of places to see...If you want the list of places, ask me and I'll list them here...
One more note that might be important for some is that there are no moon phases on these calendars...so if you want to know when the full moon is you won't find them on here...and Daylight Savings Time days are not on here either.
